To add a background image to a cell!
A cell can have a different background image from a table or page. When you specify a background image, any selected colour from the Background Colour drop-down list could be overridden, unless the background image you choose has a colour specified as transparent.
1 In the FrontPage Editor, move the insertion point inside the cell to which you want to add a background image.
2 On the Table menu, choose Cell Properties. Or right-click and select Table Properties from the pop up menu.
3 Select the Use Background Image check box, and then click Browse to open the Select Background Image dialog box:
- If the image is in the current FrontPage web, browse to the folder that contains the image, select the image you want, and then click OK.
- If the image is in a file on your local network, click the File button:
This displays the Select File dialog box. Browse to the image you want from your local network, and then click OK.
- If the image is on the World Wide Web, click the World Wide Web button:
Your Web browser will be displayed. Browse to the image that you want, and then switch back to the FrontPage Editor. The location of the page you visited will be displayed n the URL field.
- If the image is clip art, click the Clip Art button to display the Microsoft Clip Gallery, and then select the image that you want.
4 If you want to specify properties for the image, such as transparency, click the Properties button, and then set properties in the Image Properties dialog box.
5 Click OK to close the Cell Properties dialog box. The specified image is displayed as the cell background.
To add a background image to a table!
A table can have a different background table can have a different background image from a page. When you specify a background image, any selected colour from the Background Colour drop-down list could be overridden, unless the background image you choose has a colour specified as transparent.
1 In the FrontPage Editor, move the insertion point inside the table to which you want to add a background image.
2 On the Table menu, choose Table Properties.
3 Select the Use Background Image check box, and then click Browse to open the Select Background Image dialog box:
- If the image is in the current FrontPage web, browse to the folder that contains the image, select the image you want, and then click OK.
- If the image is in a file on your local network, click the File button:
This displays the Select File dialog box. Browse to the image you want from your local network, and then click OK.
- If the image is on the World Wide Web, click the World Wide Web button:
Your Web browser will be displayed. Browse to the image that you want, and then switch back to the FrontPage Editor. The location of the page you visited will be displayed n the URL field.
- If the image is clip art, click the Clip Art button to display the Microsoft Clip Gallery, and then select the image that you want.
4 If you want to specify properties for the image, such as transparency, click the Properties button, and then set properties in the Image Properties dialog box.
5 Click OK to close the Table Properties dialog box. The specified image is displayed as the table background.
To change the background colour of one or more cells!

1 In the FrontPage Editor, select the cells for which you want a background colour.
2 Click on the table toolbar.
3 In the Colour dialog box, select a colour. Click Define Custom Colours to define a custom colour.
4 Click OK.
To change the background colour of table!
A table can have a different background colour from a page.
1 In the FrontPage Editor, move the insertion point inside the table for which you want a background colour.
2 On the Table menu, choose Select Table.
3 Click
on the table toolbar.
4 In the Colour dialog box, select a colour. Click Define Custom Colours to define a custom colour.
5 Click OK.
