However please note the bulletins one

same format as the site bulletins and that
the msfp site also contains other

point to note and that is the archives at
microsoftfrontpage.com do not as far as back

Article No: Q213872
This tip provides a sample FrontPage Java script that displays a custom,
scrolling message in the Internet Explorer status bar. Here's how:
1. Insert the following script into the <HEAD> section of your HTML Web
page:
<script Language="JavaScript">
// Scrolling text string.
var strText="This is a scrolling message!";
// Length of the text
var intText=strText.length;
// Speed of the scroll
var intSpeed=25;
// Width of the scrolling area.
var intWidth=100;
var intPos=1-intWidth;
function
scroll()
{
// Initialize the string to be printed.
intPos++;
var strScroll="";
// Move to the right in the string.
if (intPos==intText)
{
// Start over if the string is done.
intPos=1-intWidth;
}
// Scrolling
if (intPos<0)
{
// Add spaces to beginning if necessary.
for (var i=1; i<=Math.abs(intPos); i++)
{
strScroll=strScroll+" ";
}
strScroll=strScroll+strText.substring(0, intWidth-i+1);
}
else
{
strScroll=strScroll+strText.substring(intPos,intWidth+intPos);
}
window.status = strScroll;
setTimeout("scroll()", intSpeed);
}

*** EDITING A SINGLE FRAME FROM WITHIN MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER
*********************************************************
Many users of FrontPage may edit their Web pages from within Microsoft Internet
Explorer 4.0 or later using the Edit button on the toolbar. When you try to do
this with a frames-based page, however, FrontPage opens the entire frameset. To
edit a specific frame, open the entire frameset page in FrontPage, right click
in the frame you want to edit and then select the
"Open Page in New Window" option. FrontPage will then allow you to
edit only the frame you want.
