GREAT FRONTPAGE-BASED WEB SITES

The Entertainment Department UK Ltd., an entertainment provider to 25 holiday resorts in England, Scotland, and Wales, needed to improve team communication and training. Realizing that an online solution could improve the efficiency of their operation and help them recruit new entertainers, gather feedback from their park managers and visitors, and provide marketing support for both their park teams and manufacturers across the country, they chose FrontPage to help them build a Web solution. Find out more at:
http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/evaluation/gallery/ted.htm

Iconofile is a non-profit organization devoted to those interested in icons and icon painting while promoting preservation of the art. Early on, the founders realized that a Web site could help them accomplish their informational objectives, raise money to support the organization's future plans and activities, and create a robust online community—encouraging volunteers to donate time, money, and articles. Learn how FrontPage helped them reach their goals at:

TIPS AND TRICKS

WORKING WITH CATEGORIES IN FRONTPAGE

Categories provide a useful way to organize and effectively manage your Web by grouping pages, pictures, or any other files into logical groups using categories. For example, you might classify pages that need editorial approval in a category called Editors, or classify all of the shopping-related files in your Web in categories called Catalog and Products. Then, a specific person or workgroup assigned to each category can easily identify the pages they are responsible for updating.

In FrontPage 2002:
1. On the View menu, point to Reports, point to Workflow, and then click Categories.
2. Select the files you want to categorize.

If you want to categorize a single file, right-click the file, click Properties on the shortcut menu, and then click the Workgroup tab.
If you want to categorize multiple files, press and hold CTRL, and then click each file you want to categorize. Right-click any of these selected files, click Properties on the shortcut menu, and then click the Workgroup tab.
3. In the Available Categories box, select the check boxes for the categories that apply to this file. You can select multiple categories.

In FrontPage 2000:
1. On the View menu, point to Reports, and then click Categories.
2. Right-click the file you want to categorize, click Properties, and then click the Workgroup tab.
3. In the Available Categories box, select the check boxes of the categories for this file. You can select multiple categories.

Note: FrontPage has several built-in categories, such as Business, Competition, Expense Report, Goals/Objectives, Ideas, In Process, Miscellaneous, Planning, Schedule, Travel, VIP, and Waiting. You can also add your own categories. To find out how to create a site map using categories, see Microsoft FrontPage product help.
