Welcome to the Microsoft® FrontPage® FanZine
As you will notice our electronic newsletter is no longer called the Microsoft FrontPage Bulletin. We’ve changed the name to Microsoft FrontPage FanZine, because it has grown beyond a bulletin to more of an electronic magazine, in which we are providing more in-depth information to better meet your needs and help you create the best Web sites ever. As part of that effort, this month you will notice that we are now featuring Expert Column articles from Web developer, designer, small business, government, and education industry experts. We hope that you like the new changes, and as always, we are interested in hearing your feedback at: fpcommnt@microsoft.com

USING SECURE SOCKETS LAYER TO SECURE YOUR WEB
When you create a new FrontPage Web, you have the option to make the entire Web use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) port to encrypt all data sent to or from FrontPage, referred to as “secured authoring.” You can also specify whether you want to use the SSL port for links to specific pages within a normal, unsecured Web, referred to as “secured browsing.” This article describes how to accomplish both secure authoring and secure browsing at:
