The
July 2001 issue will be all about how people
and institutions in education and government are using FrontPage.

NOTE: I receive my MS FP
Bulletin one month late, now I have found
the
http://microsoftfrontpage.com/ site, I
will be able to post the bulletins sooner.
However please note the bulletins one
receives via subscription at MS are not the
same format as the site bulletins and that
the msfp site also contains other
information. There is one other important
point to note and that is the archives at
microsoftfrontpage.com do not as far as back
as these, so if you want to look back this
is the place to do it! You can also obtain
the bulletins as
FREE E-books with your membership
of AnyFrontPage Bytes.

TIPS AND TRICKS
NEW FRONTPAGE 2002 TIPS AND
TRICKS
Now you can easily create a photo gallery, quickly generate database
support for your Web site or add attention-getting effects to your Web pages
with enhanced drawing tools. Below you can find out how to use these powerful
new features in FrontPage 2002.
It's a real challenge to create Web sites that contain large numbers of images
and still have the pages download quickly. Using "thumbnail" images to
display the full-size image that each thumbnail represents helps. But it is very
time consuming to make each one, set up all the links to the larger images, and
then format the layout to display everything properly. Those days are over with
the Photo Gallery tool in FrontPage 2002. Check out "Create a Photo Gallery
to Display Images or Photos" at:
http://www.microsoftfrontpage.com/content/TipsAndTricks/TipsAndTricks.htm
Want to add a Web front-end to a database to capture visitor feedback or let
specific users modify records, but are concerned about how much technical
knowledge and support it will require? The new Database Interface Wizard in
FrontPage 2002 generates everything you need to add database functionality to
your website including a database, the forms, and Web pages required. Check out
"The Database Interface Wizard in Microsoft FrontPage version 2002"
at:
http://www.microsoftfrontpage.com/content/TipsAndTricks/TipsAndTricks.htm
How often have you been in the situation of having cool vector graphics that you
can't readily use in a Web site, for example, from a Microsoft Word document or
Microsoft PowerPoint® presentation? It's expensive and time consuming to redo
these designs for the Web. It opens up all sorts of new possibilities if you
could use drawing tools like auto-shapes, drop shadows, and Word Art or easily
paste them from other Office applications, directly in FrontPage. Learn how you
now can with FrontPage 2002 in "Using PowerPoint-like Drawing Tools"
at:
http://www.microsoftfrontpage.com/content/TipsAndTricks/TipsAndTricks.htm
